SWAT team to protect your side-x-side
From SlickRock, Woods And Tight Trails (SWAT for short), tough situations require Special Weapons And Tactics. That is where DragonFire's new BlackOps
gear answers the call to duty. From our HighBack GT seats and matching EVO belts, to the all-new Defender SS Folding Mirrors, DragonFire is here to
protect and serve the UTV market! Adding our next generation of accessories is like calling in a SWAT team to protect your Side-X-Side!
Trailside hazards can assault your rig when you least expect it! Although a sneak peek at DragonFire's all new Defender SS Mirror leaked out at Rally On The Rocks a couple weeks ago, details were still classified. Now that the secret is out, it is time to see what all the excitement is about! We have taken our popular SuperSport Side Mirror to the next level with the introduction of the fully folding Defender SS Mirror.
An indexed pivot mechanism allows mirrors to move out of the way of trail side or trailer hazards. A clever system of detent washers means that the mirror can fold flat and return to its former position with no adjustments needed. Once the hazardous situation has been cleared, the Defender can quickly be returned to its original position.
A full 4-inch convex mirror ensures a full field of vision. It is also push-adjust so that you can change your viewing angle without the need for any tools… or even getting out of the car. These mirrors are attached to the cage using a billet clamp with a two-bolt mounting system to make sure they stay put! These clamps are available in 1 3/4" for virtually all Polaris RZR applications and 1 7/8" which is common for most Kawasaki UTVs. There are even 2" clamps for the Can-Am contingent.
The "BlackOps" anodized finish offers both style and longevity as the Defender serves and protects your Side-X-Side in tough situations. For more details, see the full video recap
But the mirrors are only half the story! The humble lap belt has finally evolved and the reEVOlution in harness technology has begun! The EVO Harness By
DragonFire is a key component of DragonFire's top secret BlackOps program that was rolled out at the Rally On The Rocks in Moab. DragonFire chose ROTR
specifically for the debut of the EVO… and built a BlackOps RZR just for the occasion!
"Off-road trips are a great time to enjoy family and friends while exploring all nature has to offer,” says DragonFire's social media manager Chris Moore.
“But at the end of the day, how do you remember your trip? Scenic views or sore shoulders?” Rally On The Rocks was the perfect place to unveil the
EVO Harness. “Mobility and visibility are key to negotiating the infamous “SlickRock” found on the trails around Moab,” he adds. “Craning your neck
to see over impossible drops and around cliffside corners are par for the course.”
Of course one slip can spell disaster, so DragonFire addressed the drawbacks to conventional restraints and focused on the biggest complaints from a full
day on the trails. “A certain level of fatigue and outright pain also come into play,” Moore admits. “Sore shoulders, neck chaffing and sensitive pressure
points stemming from the racing harnesses designed decades ago… at least this is how we used to remember trips to Moab.” That was before DragonFire
developed the EVO Harness.
“It really is survival of the fittest out there, so the EVO Harness by DragonFire was created to provide the perfect fit,” he adds. This revolutionary
harness is the brainchild of countless hours on tight terrain, radical departure angles and extreme rock crawling. Designed for comfort, without sacrificing
safety, the ballistic nylon straps are body-contoured to improve the range of motion.
“We had to change the way we think about fit first, so we started with the feel and reverse-engineered the rest.” From the fully adjustable sternum strap
to the micro-suede collar trim and plush padding of the hip straps, this is the evolution of a superior species of harness technology. “The EVO Harness
will change the way people think about protection, permanently.”
Of course there are more goodies coming from DragonFire's BlackOps R&D team… but you don't have the security clearance necessary to know more at this point! Stay tuned...
